For children to have a well-rounded learning experience, we offer a diverse range of extra-curricular activities as part of our curriculum. The activities are offered at no additional cost to parents. Different activities are scheduled for each day.

Gymnastics with Fun Bus

Fun Bus is a 38-foot International Bus completely equipped with fun & exciting tumbling & gymnastics equipment including bars, beams, mats, vaults, rings, zip lines, trampolines, monkey bars and more. This gym on wheels is carefully designed to create a fun, safe, non-competitive environment for children ages 2-10 to gain confidence & self-esteem as they learn the basics of gymnastics.

Why Yoga for Children?

Yoga helps kids to:

• Learn how to use their bodies in a healthy way
• Manage stress through breathing, awareness, meditation and healthy movement

Gardening, Nature Study & Science

The study of nature is an integral part of our curriculum. Children must learn about and interact with nature in order to truly appreciate its wonders. Unfortunately, children living in urban environments get less of an opportunity to see the beauty of nature.

Science Surrounds us as does the air. Children are introduced to the world of science through observing, experimenting and testing. Simple lessons are designed to introduce children to the world of science and answer their "why”.

Culinary Classes

Twice a month each child gets to be gourmet chefs and cook something yummy and healthy that corresponds with the weekly theme. Cooking inspires children’s curiosity, thinking, and problem solving, offering new opportunities to make predictions and observations. Additionally, cooking offers authentic opportunities for students to understand and apply their knowledge of measuring, one-to-one correspondence, numbers, and counting. As they follow a recipe, children organize ingredients, follow a sequence, and carry out multiple directions.

Computer Program

Computer classes are held in our custom designed computer lab, called "The Sea Lab”. Children play with age appropriate educational software programs. The programs are designed to help children develop hand-eye coordination and build on their academic skills. Children are also taught basic computer skills including tasks ranging from opening and closing programs to saving a file.

Spanish Lessons

We believe that Introducing your young children to a second language and giving them a chance at greater fluency and access to countless professional opportunities Spanish, a language spoken from the streets of Madrid to the foothills of the Andes, is one of the most popular languages for children in the US to learn today English and Spanish share roots in Latin.

Studying Spanish increases children’s understanding of the English language and how different languages evolve, which can also help with learning English vocabulary. We learn Spanish on Fridays during circle time.
