A "PROGRESSIVE APPROACH"
We use the Montessori curriculum and philosophy, but we combine it with other early childhood philosophies such as:
- Montessori: Children are an individual and their learning interest and abilities differ from child to child. Children go through growth periods and if the environment is right they will learn from it. The main role of the teacher is to prepare the environment in a way that the child learns from it. The main role of the teacher is to prepare the environment in a way that the child learns.
Montessori class is divided into 5 learning areas: practical life, sensorial, language, math, science
and geography.
- Reggio Emilia: The main idea
being that children learn through art and creativity; therefore, art is an important part of our curriculum.
- Steiner Philosophy: Children learn by imitating adults and by role play; Children get to have creative play indoor play area.
By combining and taking the best from each approach we provide children with
complete learning experience that makes the transition to public school system easier.
